Renato Profico named new CEO at JobCloud AG – Mark Sandmeier and Michel Kaufmann to join Board of Directors

On January 1, 2015, Renato Profico will become the new Chief Executive Officer of JobCloud AG, succeeding Mark Sandmeier, who, along with Michel Kaufmann, JobCloud’s current Head of Marketing and Products, will join JobCloud’s existing Board of Directors.
Renato Profico, who grew up speaking German and French, has extensive knowledge of the job markets in both the German-speaking and French-speaking parts of Switzerland. He also has 14 years of experience of working in e-recruiting. Now 48 and born in the Swiss canton of Valais, Renato Profico has been working at jobs.ch since 2008, initially as Head of Business Development and, since mid-2010, as Head of Sales and a member of senior management. Prior to that, Renato Profico had worked for several years as the country manager for Monster Switzerland.

Renato Profico’s main task at JobCloud AG will be to work with the company’s existing management team to expand the company and the range of services it and its more than 140 employees currently offer in the German- and French-speaking parts of Switzerland. Mara Nellen, 30, who until now has been responsible for marketing JobCloud in French-speaking Switzerland, will be JobCloud’s new Head of Marketing for all of Switzerland, and join JobCloud’s management team. Ms. Nellen, who was born in the Swiss canton of Vaud and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Haute École de Gestion in Geneva, has been with the company since 2010. Additionally, Patrik Breitenmoser, who has been Head of IT and a member of senior management for several years, will now also assume responsibility for product management.

Frédéric Gaiani, JobCloud’s regional manager for French-speaking Switzerland, has decided to leave the company to take on a new professional challenge. Over the last six years, Mr. Gaiani has played a decisive role in helping to make jobup.ch the best-known and most popular employment portal in French-speaking Switzerland.

Mark Sandmeier and Michel Kaufmann, who have both been with the company since 2000, will relinquish their current positions to join JobCloud AG’s Board of Directors. Their work in developing jobs.ch over the last 15 years enabled it to achieve the status it now enjoys as Switzerland’s leading employment portal. Since 2013, they have also successfully merged jobs.ch ag and Jobup AG to form today’s JobCloud AG. As members of the Board of Directors, Mark Sandmeier and Michel Kaufmann will continue to put their many years of experience and extensive industry contacts to use on the company’s behalf.

The Board of Directors of JobCloud AG, on which both Ringier and Tamedia, the joint owners, are represented, is delighted that an outstanding internal candidate has been appointed as the company’s new CEO and that, by relinquishing their current positions to join the Board of Directors, Mark Sandmeier and Michel Kaufmann will continue to make their expertise available to the company. The Board is most grateful to Mark Sandmeier, Michel Kaufmann and Frédéric Gaiani for the exemplary commitment they have shown to JobCloud AG and for all that they have done to further its successful development.
